Become a published illustrator!

If so, we highly encourage you to have them enter their original art to be used in our next children's book! We are seeking dozens of child artists to join us on an exciting children's book collaboration.

If you're child's art is selected for publication in our book, he or she will be credited in our children's book as a contributing illustrator! We will also feature our winning submissions on our social media channels @LivLibraries. Being a published illustrator is so cool!

We are seeking all kinds of art from all kinds of children. We are looking for colorful drawings, pastels, paintings, collages, mixed media, crayons, anything that can be created on a square or rectangle and scanned in as an attachment in our official contest form below. Topics for the art can be anything that is non-offensive and can include nature, self-portraits, dragons, battleships, science or current events such as BLM. Be creative show how wonderfully unique you are with your art!

Our Living Libraries panel of Ambassadors will choose the winners starting soon and will continue choosing them until we feel we have everything we need for our exciting book project. LiLi Ambassadors are a group of Living Libraries ages 7-14 who have completed our life-skills LiLi University Program. This group of diverse and distinguished LiLis represent our Living Libraries brand and programs.

Yes! We will also select 100 lucky applicants from the illustration contest to win full-ride academic scholarships to LiLi University, which is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. The second graduating class of LiLi University begins virtually this fall. Here students will learn 26 socio-emotional skills needed to be successful in school and in life.
